Director’s Showcase by Remy Lamont | SXSW London 2025 – Proposal
This showcase is built to be flexible, bold, and visually unforgettable — just like SXSW London. Let’s talk about what’s possible and build something together.
We’re proposing a pop-up Director’s Showcase, either as a dedicated venue slot or a smaller activation within a larger space. The concept blends immersive installation, short film screenings, and live conversation: presenting a body of work rooted in raw storytelling, cultural energy, and independent spirit.
The showcase will feature some of Remy Lamont’s most impactful, visually driven work—from music videos created on shoestring budgets with London’s most promising underground artists to the first public screening of his news-breaking, high-risk stunt Wings Through Tower Bridge.
It’s a platform that unites grassroots creativity with bold cinematic vision, highlighting work made with purpose over polish and vision over budget.
If a full activation isn’t possible, we’d be excited to contribute short-form work as interstitial content between longer screenings: visually arresting moments that capture the creative pulse of London, alongside a live director Q&A or guerrilla-style visual drops.
FORMATS — FLEXIBLE SHOWCASE OPTIONS
Screening + Live Q&A : A curated 20–30 minute screening of short form content, followed by a live director Q&A.
Interactive Booth / Installation : A designed pop-up space with looping visuals, BTS insights, stylized props or set pieces, and sound elements.
Interstitial Content / Lounge Loops : Selected visuals or trailers playing between sessions, or as part of the SXSW visual environment.
Guerilla-Style QR Drops / Projection Moments : Creative placement of QR codes or mobile projections linking to exclusive short pieces — creating intrigue and shareable moments around the event.
